The selection of movies in the Retrospective of the ALMERIA WESTERN FILM FESTIVAL focuses in its 4th edition on some of the many Spaghetti Western films shot in Almería "Tierra de Cine", to keep the memory alive and show the richness of this heritage hardly known outside. Therefore we also decided to organize interviews with people who worked in the film industry at the time and we prepare an exhibition of some of their personal photographs.
The selection of short films submitted and selected by the selection board represent the new generation of filmmakers who not only use the form of short film as a tribute to a great genre, but some also try to present their works in order to produce a feature film in the future. Therefore we will also present "Work in progress".
A part from documentaries around the Western genre and the tributes, we will present music films, a compilation of music video clips and publicity spots shot in Almeria in the past, accompanied by exchange with the audience and attending guests.
