REGULATIONS 
The “ALMERIA WESTERN FILM FESTIVAL 2015” (AWFF), organized by the town council of Tabernas, has the main objective to promote broadcasting of western genre films that contribute to the knowledge of world cinema.
The 5th edition of the Almeria Western Film Festival will be held between the 10th and the 11th of October, 2015. The festival site will be located in the town hall of Tabernas:

The festival will include the following activities:
a) WESTERN 2015, offering a panorama of current Western films. - Feature length film: COMPETITION, in which a wide range of Western feature films from all nationalities participate. - Short film COMPETITION, in which a wide range of Western short films, with a maximum 30 minute duration, from all nationalities participate. In both categories, the festival organizers will select the finalist films. The decisions of the selection committee are final. To register, complete the attached form: FORM TEMPLATE
b) RETROSPECTIVE, Sample – UNCOMPETITIVE. An assembly of fiction films which were shot during the Spaghetti Western era. .
c)COMMERCIALS AND VIDEOCLIPS, Sample – UNCOMPETITIVE. A compilation of commercials and spots, experimental or documentary, which use Almeria (as “Tierra de Cine”, Film earth) as the setting.
All films entered for the WESTERN 2015 must comply the following conditions:
- Completed between 2013 and 2015. -Films participating should adapt to the technical requirements of each category of the festival, preferably DVD, BR and Full HD. -Films will be screened as a dubbed version in Spanish, or in their original language with Spanish subtitles. In the second case, a transcript of the subtitles should be supplied together with a DVD of the film, so to allow the preparation of electronic subtitles. . - The invitation sent for each film selected by the festival must remain strictly confidential between the festival organizers (Ayuntamiento de Tabernas), the team assigned to the management of the festival, and the producers or representatives of the invited film, until the festival makes an official announcement to this regard.
These are the following awards for those feature length and short films of WESTERN 2015:
Selected by the judges: -“Almeria Western Film Festival 2015” award for best feature length film. - Award for best short film.
Selected by the public: - Audience award for best feature length film.
The awards are trophies in the shape of a cowboy walking through saloon double doors, with the AWFF logo as the main element, and the title of the award engraved on the pedestal. The decisions of the judges are final. All personal details provided will be treated according to the current legislation (Ley orgánica 15/1999).
The Almeria Western Film Festival does not charge entry fees. To participate, films should be submitted as follows:
-Films being submitted for preview by the selection committee can be sent via a secure link, providing a password if necessary, to this email address: coordinacion@almeriawesternfilmfestival.es, or by certified post, with acknowledgment of receipt, to Tabernas town hall (2. DATES AND CONTACT), specifying that it be delivered to “ORGANIZACIÓN ALMERIA WESTERN FILM FESTIVAL”.
-Films confirmed to participate and promotional material must reach the festival before October 1st, 2015. This material should be sent in digital format and include a press book, high-resolution photographs, audio and video clips or 3 minute trailers. The online media distribution will be provided through the official festival website www.almeriawesternfilmfestival.es. Furthermore, a maximum of 5 posters should be sent to the postal address of the event.
The Almeria Western Film Festival establishes the order and date of each film exhibition. Once approved the participation of a movie, it cannot be removed from its projection during the Festival.
Participation implies full acceptance of these regulations, and the resolution of the organizers in the case of neglecting said regulations.
